What is a Sweet Monday anyway?
"Women are busy, but many are isolated and lonely. Seeing this need 13 years ago, I opened our home the first Monday night of each month to any woman who wanted to come. I served a simple dessert, full of fat, decaf coffee, and candy at the door to go with the theme called "A Beauty Full Evening." And, because God promises that His word never returns void, I shared a short devotional to point us all to Christ because He is the One and Only lasting Sweetener of life! The night before the very first Sweet Monday was born, I dreamed that I was sitting on the front porch rocking. I was waiting for Sweet Monday and not one woman came. It was a terrible dream. But what a delight to greet over 30 women on our first evening! And since that time, many more have packed into our home, with new women most every month. They are so busy connecting that now I don't even vacuum before they arrive. But that's okay; they don't even see the floor."
